Immersing myself in the creative realm of graphic design, web design, UX/UI, videography, and photography over the past five years, my love for design has only grown. Originally from Northern California, I now proudly call San Diego home after earning my B.A. in Communication from California State University San Marcos. During my time I achieved the dean's list recognition twice, held an executive position within my fraternity, and participated on the schools state championed surf team, all while growing academically and personally.
In my earlier years, I explored diverse range of career paths, from shoe sales, freelance graphic design, to even cake decorating at Nothing Bundt Cakes (I even won a frosting award... how crazy!). During my time in college, I picked up new skills like web design, where I taught myself 3 new programming languages—later helping me re-design my own portfolio and even publish some community projects.
Through my diverse mix of internships, freelance work, jobs and personal projects, I take pride in the skills I have acquired. Long term, I would love to manage a creative team, assisting with all aspects of the creative process, and contributing to team growth and success.
While I love to work (a little too much sometimes) I also enjoy other activities and usually pick up a new one each year. This year I am training for my first full-distance Iron Man triathlon, a 15 hour, 140.2-mile race where I hope to push my mind and body to the limit. Aside from torturing myself physically, I enjoy all outdoor activities, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and working on one of my passion projects like mycology or other projects like this very website!
